The Marketing Professional of the Year

The category is looking for companies, organisations or brands that have managed to use the content of the event in their own marketing activities in a creative and fruitful manner before, during and after the event. Successful communications are part of marketing, too, and the Marketing Professional of the Year also excels in taking media representatives into account. The category winner receives a € 3000 award.

Eleven Finland Oy

Eleven Finland is an online beauty store that offers a wide range of skincare, makeup, hair products and perfumes. Eleven is known for its broad selection of cosmetics, great service and especially for its expertise in Korean cosmetics.

Eleven participated in the I love me fair for the first time with the aim of increasing its visibility on e.g. social media, finding new customers and promoting Korean cosmetics. The company also provided visitors with an opportunity to test online shopping and learn more about it.

“We greatly exceeded our sales target at the fair. On the first day, we sold 9,500 products from our 20m² stand and had about 109 paying customers per hour. Our online sales also exceeded all our expectations. Nevertheless, our best achievement was making customers happy and having inspiring encounters and conversations.”

Sumeko Oy/Kawasaki

Sumeko Oy is part of the Finnish family business SGN Group. It specialises in the wholesale of recreational vehicles and has imported Kawasaki motorcycles since 1965.

Sumeko Oy participated in the MP18 Motorcycle Show with the aim of creating a clear, memorable and attractive fair stand in order to increase sales. The company also wanted to commit the whole team to welcoming visitors of all ages.

“At the show, the sales of Kawasaki motorcycles doubled compared to last year, and the market share increased to 24% for the whole year. Our stand received a lot of well-earned attention in the media, for instance. We actively pre-marketed our new motorcycles and the possibility to test them on the longest indoor test drive track in Europe. In addition, we continued sending marketing text messages to test drivers during the show.”

Vallila Interior

Vallila Interior is a Finnish family-run interior design company that was founded in 1935. It is known for its unique, high-quality interior design products and services. The Vallila brand, known for its patterns, and its renewed collection of home décor products were first displayed in an expo setting in Finland at the Habitare 2018 event.

Habitare was the single biggest campaign of the autumn, which was also carried out in Vallila’s shops across the nation and in the online store. Social media, newsletters, video displays and shop materials followed the Habitare spirit as well. The aim was to increase Vallila’s sales as a whole, conduct direct sales at the fair’s PopUp shop, expand the Vallila brand image and present the autumn collection. The company also wanted to bring out the “roots” of their design, following the fair’s “Roots” theme.

“The products at the PopUp shop were sold out, and the shop and online sales increased as well due to the fair discount. We got new online customers and distributed 10,000 fair magazines. We also achieved substantial reach on social media.”
