The Exhibition Team of the Year

Smooth teamwork is at centre stage in a successful exhibition presence. The award for the Exhibition Team of the Year is granted to an exhibition project team who huffs and puffs all the while keeping the fire burning bright. The cornerstones of successful exhibition work are professional leadership, internal communications and making a good use of the skills of the team members. The category winner will receive a € 3000 award.

Isku

Isku is a 90-year-old Finnish family business that designs and produces furniture in its factory in Lahti’s Mukkula. Its furniture creates feelings of success for customers in homes, schools, workplaces, hospitals and care environments as well as in other public spaces. The company sells its own Isku furniture as well as products from other well-known furniture brands in 25 stores around Finland.
Isku participated in the Habitare 2018 event with the theme “The Brave Do Things Differently”.

The company’s aim was to achieve its best-ever fair result at Habitare and to increase visibility for its new products and the ISKU brand. The goals set for the stand were greatly surpassed. The highest sales target ever was exceeded by over 20%, and the sales at the stand reached over one million euros during the fair.

“Isku’s 90th anniversary was strongly highlighted. The team was informed of the sales target in advance and its realisation was monitored during the event. The hectic nature of the fair only emphasised our collaboration and unique team spirit. The fair team’s willingness to pull the same rope is a matter of honour for the people of Isku.”

Temal & Partners Kylpyhuonekeskus / #kylppärikylä (Bathroom Village)

In the Bathroom Centre, located on Runeberginkatu in Helsinki, seven companies help and support each other in a communal spirit with village-like feel. We have named this atmosphere #kylppärikylä (“Bathroom Village”). The participating companies are Temal, Oras, Pukkila, Hietakari/Sandfriff, Rej-Design, Unidrain and Tamsale.

At Habitare 2018, Finland’s top bathroom brands teamed up and built a 100m² bathroom village where seven different bathroom-scapes were on display. The aim was to present Finland’s best bathrooms in an inspiring and encompassing way, merging new features into a single entity to help customers with the buying process. We met our goals and received great media and social media coverage. Additionally, we managed to book more planning appointments, triple the membership count of our customer club and
increase our sales.

“Our dynamic seven-company stand proved that through collaboration, the input-output ratio is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Ryöväri Oy/KirjaKallio

KirjaKallio is a multi-year literature project of Kallio Upper Secondary School of Performing Arts. As part of the KirjaKallio project, students have produced a programme for their own stage at the Helsinki Book Fair since autumn 2012, and their programme has even been praised as the most interesting one at the fair. Together with the students and two teachers, Ryöväri Oy is responsible for the co-operative production of KirjaKallio and the Helsinki Book Fair. In 2018, the participants of KirjaKallio interviewed over 60 authors on their Kallio stage.

We had more content than ever before, and the aim was to carry it out in style and provide students with hands-on experience of working life. We achieved our goals of establishing our position at the fair and receiving increased visibility: we had nearly 100 listeners per stage programme and over 6,000 visitors dropped by at our stage during the fair. The programme was also praised
by publishers, authors and other performers.

“Our fair project involves 60 students, two teachers and a producer. A key factor in our work is the clear distribution of tasks between those responsible. The success of a big group requires an uncompromising presence, cheerful team spirit as well as precise, ambitious and delicate work.”
